Angels of Revolution Project (1st - Itachi Uchiha) + Updates

*sigh* I have so many things to talk about I don't even know where to start (it's the consequence for not updating the blog for almost two months -.-).

I guess I'll talk about the most important thing first: some time ago I started a new cosplay!

Ever since all the Akatsuki appeared on Naruto that I've been wanting to make original versions of them. There are many I want to do (for example one inspired by the 7 Deadly Sins) but I never had the courage to because it would take a lot of work, time and money. Besides they're 10.

BUT about 2 months ago, me and my friend Carolina were talking and I had this idea for a new original version of them in which each character would represent something they would fight for. She gained interest in it and offered to draw the costumes on paper (since I can't draw for my life) so that I can have reference pictures of all the characters when and if I eventually decided to cosplay them.

After a lot of discussion and a poll on DeviantArt + friends/family opinions we decided to name it Angels of Revolution (and not Revolutionary Angels like it used to be at the beginning).

And that project will come true X3 I'm going to cosplay every single one of them. It's going to take a long time, years actually since I have other cosplays to do, but I intend on doing it.

Right now we only have 2 characters 100% finished: Itachi and Hidan. We have some in process like Konan and Kisame but the others we didn't even start, we only have a base idea.

I was going o start the project with Hidan because honestly it's the easiest costume until now, specially the props, they're really simple. But I couldn't afford buying a wig, and since I already had Itachi's I opted by doing his first.

On AoR (acronym XD) Itachi represents 'Justice' and 'Free Will'. If you don't know the character you probably won't get the reason why we choose this, but if you do you'll understand easily. I'm not getting into detail about who he is, I'll just say that he had a rough life, full of hard choices and sacrifices. I think that out of all the things we could chose, Itachi would certainly fight for this.

About the clothing in general, there is a lot of black and some red. And textures like leather. There really isn't much to say honestly, you'll see the costume later in pictures. 

The props are the most complicated part. All of the characters in AoR have wings, so I had to make Itachi's. They're black and smaller than Gothica's (thankfully) but they were still hard to do. Besides they have lots feathers >.< (I still haven't glued them all). There are more props, like earrings and a collar but I guess the most important one is the scale. At first I wanted something really elaborated, but then I eventually decided to go with a more simple style (but still mimicking the old fashion like this). Carolina says that even though the shape is simplier, there are a lot of details to look at... which I agree with.

I can't really say more things at the moment. I'm going to show pictures of parts of the costume and how I made the scale BEFORE the actual photoshoot. I'm sort of in love with the costume X3

Now for updates... I'm doing also Itachi Christmas version for Kingpin's Xmas party XD But it's a simple costume. And yes I'll post pics later too.

I'm waiting for Kurapika's new wig to arrive (I finally bought a quality wig for him) and then I'll take pictures. In fact I have many costumes to take pics with. I just don't have time.

I've also started making my "Cosplays for 2012" list. I have some confirmed but most of them will be 'maybe'. I'll talk about that later too.

Anipop Kyuu-Ti REPORT

I should have done this last week, but laziness didn't let me X3 So I'm doing it now.

DAY 1 - 16th September 2011

I didn't attend this day because I had school until 5 p.m.

DAY 2 - 17th September 2011 - Kakuzu Sexy no Jutsu cosplay (Naruto)

I woke up at 11 a.m, so I was late by 2 hours. 2 HOURS BEHIND. I almost died when I looked at the clock.

I had to do everything really quickly. I took a shower and immediately started doing the stitches. I asked for help since I can't reach most of the places (legs, back, arms, chest and face). It was about half an hour to do everything + 10 minutes for the rest of the makeup.

Then I ate my lunch (my mom doesn't let me go out without eating properly -.-)  and got dressed. 

When I left home it was about 14:45. I arrived there at 15:20. The con took place in a museum called Museu do Oriente. It had 7/8 floors (not sure), so we had a lot of nice places to take pictures without having people passing by constantly.

Despite the extremely warm weather (GOD WE WERE BURNING) and the fact that the elevators were always full, the day was amazing! XD 

I spent most of the time with my sister Sofia AKA Sasuke (don't kill me XD), PiiUi and my partner in crime Jo (whose mother I met, and I'm still scared of what she might have thought about me because of the cosplay I was wearing). Later Glinn and Lena joined us XD

I also saw my sexy Sebastian Marta (OMG YOU WERE COSPLAYING SEBAS AGAIN *W*), Saky and her boyfriend Ademar, my number one fan JokelUnicorn... I MET MY TOBI-KUN FINALY *w* And I saw so many other people!

I left at... 19:30? Something like that. And I fell hard on the stairs XDD I'm not gonna talk about it here, but if you're that curious, just read it on my Tumblr, here.

DAY 3 - 18th September 2011 - Ion Fortuna cosplay (Trinity Blood)

I woke up way earlier than the previous day since I had to be there at 11:30 a.m. But I only arrived at 12:15 because of the traffic -.-

This day was extra special because I finally had the opportunity to cosplay with my idol Lenore-Eeva-Leena!! She's so amazing *w* (I think I've said this many times before XDD) She played Mirka Fortuna while I was Ion Fortuna X3

I've accepted the challenge of cosplaying him in Anicomics 2011 (May) because she said I would look amazing in it. She was right (damn XD), I do look very similar to the character (even though my wig was falling off during the entire con, because of the weight and pressure the turban did).

She made all the costume, I only took care of the props (except the dagger, she also got it for me).

We didn't take any pictures :/ But we want to do a proper photoshoot, in location *w* So I look forward to it!! I bet it's gonna be amazing!

I spent most of the day with Alex, Riri, PaiNatal (we still need to plan our wedding XD) and Jokeeeeeeel (really honey how do you want me to call you? I'll start calling you Deidara XD). Of course I also spent time with other people XDD

It was lots of fun X3 I love going to this events and I love cosplay geez X3

New Photoshoot/Cosplay: Misa Amane

I finished another cosplay! Misa Amane from Death Note!

This costume was a request from CJWilde. She wanted to see me cosplay Misa, so I accepted the challenge, even though I don't really like the character >.< I mean... she's annoying and a bit stupid (I'm being nice here).

I already had most of the costume done, before she requested it from me. Actually, I let a friend use it as her 1st cosplay (so if you've seen this costume already it's mine).

Here's the version I was trying to "mimick":

The reason I said "mimick" is because the costume isn't 100% equal.

The dress I used is actually one of my dresses. I simply altered it a bit so it resembled more Misa's dress. But I didn't do much work, since they are both incredibly similar.

I don't have boots like those, so I used my platform boots. It was either that or my military ones. But I though it looked better with the plats, so I used them. I didn't have the Fleur-de-Lis necklace either, so I used one of my crosses.

The gloves, choker and Death Note (book) were made by me. As for the socks, I decided to go with pantyhose/tights instead. I also styled the wig entirely (I straightened it and gave the wig Misa's hairstyle).

(if you look closely, on the 2nd pic you can see on the floor the hair that was chopped off XD)

Here is a picture of the dress and the boots I used. The boots are from Demonia (they are quite old -.-) and the dress I believe it's from Hell Bunny (though I'm not really sure).

Now lets talk about the actual photoshoot:

I don't even remember the day anymore LOL It was... August 30th? I think... *goes check* Yeah, that's the correct date.

We went to Expo, since it's huge and it has a huge variety of nice places to take pictures. At first I wanted to go to FIL but they were closed (big fail XD). I still wanted to take pics there, so the majority of them were taken outside of FIL (it's still nice, though it doesn't have what I really wanted). The others (not many really) were taken outside of Pavilhão Atlântico (it's a place where there are shows).

I don't have photos of the backstage that I can show you :/ I'm really sorry. The thing is, I usually have at least 2 cameras at the photoshoot, but this time there was only 1. Besides, it started raining (like always, it rains in every single photoshoot I do >.<) so we had to be really quick. 

In about an hour we were done, and going back home.

I'll give you just a little something, since I'm not planning on using this photo... XD (because it's awful lol and you can't really see the entire outfit).

Yes I took it like that on purpose, I didn't want to spoil all the fun just yet!

I will be doing more posts next week, even though school is about to start. I still want to update my Secret Cosplay #1 that I revealed the other day to be Sexy no Jutsu Kakuzu X3 There will be updates about that.

AND ALSO I will be spamming you with new pics of several previous cosplays (i.e. Kurapika). And there is also a new cos on my list this year: Itachi street style. It's a present for my little sis Fiaziinha483!
